The Tulong Medikal at Gabay Aral ng Sustamina (TUMBAS) Foundation, Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit organization on June 26, 2008 as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of Sustamina Agri-Industrial Corporation (SAIC) and its mother company, Cavite Feeds Milling Corporation (CAFCOR). Since SAIC and CAFCOR have been blessed by its customers with support and its employees with loyalty for the past 20 years, the companies wanted to give back and pay it forward to others through their programs and activities that can benefit the less fortunate. Its main office is located at 2nd Floor Silangville Bldg., #116 M.H. del Pilar St., Brgy. 3. Silang, Cavite. The foundation has 1 regular staff, 5 seconded staff from the mother corporation (CAFCOR), 1 part-time staff, 15 volunteers, and 7 members of the Board of Trustees.
It was first certified for 1 year on July 13, 2015 and which ended on May 7, 2016. (Documents for the Application for Renewal were received at PCNC office on March 28, 2018).
Its purposes, among others, are “to be the most trusted and respected community service worker in CALABARZON; to see its beneficiaries to be self-sustaining and self-reliant and to see each family of beneficiaries improving their lives and their ways of living; to help those in need in a holistic approach; to reach more places and extend health assistance to the most needy individuals and families around the region; and to produce more graduates of bachelor and technical courses through scholarship grants”. The Foundation’s programs/projects focused on the following areas: 1) Medical Mission; 2) School Supplies Distribution; 3) Brigada Eskwela; 4) Scholarship Grants.
