The U.P. Medical Foundation, Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit organization on September 17, 1979, by a group of concerned individuals who conceived of alternatives to reduce the traditional logistical constraints of the campus and to raise funds for continuous training of specialists, researchers, and practitioners in the pursuit of advanced studies in the various fields of medicine.
