The Sister Clarette-Rosario Foundation, Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on June 10, 2010 by a group of incorporators who are committed to support the programs of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit of the Philippines South Province, known as the Trinity Province. The foundation was named after the memory of the two SSpS Sisters, Sr. Clarette Ramirez and Sr. Rosario Mercado who were very passionate in supporting activities to help address varied concerns in the society. It is a grantmaking organization. Its main office is located at Pres. Magsaysay Extension, Kasambagan Cebu City. The foundation has 1 regular staff, 5 seconded staff from the SSpS Congregation and 9 members of the Board of Trustees.
It was first certified for 1 year on June 27, 2014 and which ended on April 2, 2015. First Renewal was certified for three (3) years on December 14, 2015 and which ended on August 28, 2018.
Its purposes (V-M-G), among others, are to support the formation of the SSpS and lay Mission-partners to sustain the varied ministries towards communion of life; to promote just and equitable education towards a gender fair community through scholarships for the youth and children living at the margins; and to promote respect and protection of the rights and dignity of children, women and men; formation of the Indigenous People (IPs); and advocacy on ecological balance, sustainable organic farming and promotion of bio-integrative wellness. The Foundation’s programs/projects focused on the following areas: 1) Education (scholarships); 2) Formation for Lay Mission Partners; 3) Justice and Peace (Women & Children Advocacy); 4) Community & Capacity Building for IPs; and 5) Ecology (Conduct Information and Education Campaign (IEC)). Geographical scope of programs: Visayas (Cebu & Bohol) & Mindanao (Surigao del Norte and Bukidnon).
