The Regina RICA Foundation, Inc. was approved by the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit organization on November 17, 2011. It was established by the nuns of the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii and their lay partners. Regina RICA is an acronym for “Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia”, which could be found in a 13.5 hectare rolling hills complex in Tanay, Rizal. It is a religious institution set up to promote a new way of living a contemplative and green lifestyle in consonance with the apostolic ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii.
Its purposes, among others are to: offer a Pilgrimage Center, and Ecological Sanctuary and Wellness environment that will bring about space where people can rest in stillness and silence. In 2012, the Foundation developed Project REST (Regina Rosarii Extension Services in Tanay) which aims to provide values formation, education and health services to pilgrims at Regina RICA and marginalized families living nearby and Quezon City.
