The Ralph Edmund Spencer Foundation, Inc. was registered with SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on July 2, 2007 by the family of the late Spencers who wanted to help the underprivileged and address the health and nutritional concerns of the communities in the area. It operates in a 3rd class municipality of Malabang in Lanao del Sur with a population of about 45,000 and who are the principal target beneficiaries. It operates a hospital, feeding center and various community development programs in the area.
The Foundation’s programs get their entire funding from its mother company, Matling Industrial and Commercial Corporation, a business engaged in the food manufacturing and the production of chemicals.
