Philam Foundation, Inc. was established in 1997 in commemoration of the 50th year of Philamlife in the Philippines. It serves as the corporate social responsibility arm of the Philam Group of Companies. It was duly registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit organization in June, 1997. It is a funding/grant-making and operating corporate foundation located at the 15th Floor, Philamlife Head Office, Net Luna Bldg., 5th Ave.. corner 26th St. Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. The foundation has three (3) regular and one (1) seconded employees, one (1) project-based staff and fifteen (15) members of the Board of Trustees.
It was certified by PCNC and granted donee institution status by BIR for three (3) years in 2003. On June 02, 2011, it was certified for five (5) years which ended on May 26, 2016. It took a while for the Foundation to invite and elect an Independent Trustee. Early this year, the Foundation was able to identify, invite and elect an Independent Trustee. On February 1, 2017, the Foundation submitted a certificate bearing the name of its Independent Trustee.
Its purposes, among others, are “to mobilize the resources of the member companies to provide real and enhanced education for the Filipino youth for better health, financial literacy and sustainable environment.”
Its sources of income include donations from Philam Group affiliates, interest income from dollar bond fund and fund-raising activities.
