Phil-Asia Assistance Foundation, Inc.

     The Phil-Asia Assistance Foundation, Inc. (PAAFI) was established and founded by the late Robert M. Lopez in 1986 as the Philippine counterpart of Philippine International Aid (PIA), a charitable institution set up by a group of Filipino-Americans, same year after the February 1986 revolution. PAAFI was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on December 15, 1986 as a non-stock, non-profit corporation. It aims to help the reconstruction of the Philippine society specifically in the area of child welfare. It started its program with 100 children under Caritas Manila. Its main office is located at 2/F Benpres Bldg., Exchange Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The Foundation has 3 regular staff, 23 parish-based coordinators, and 5 members of the Board of Trustees.

 It was certified for 1 year on July 26, 2012 and which ended on July 25, 2013. It was re-certified for 3 years last March 18, 2014 which ended on April 20, 2017.

 Its purposes (V-M-G), among others, are: “to provide educational assistance to financially disadvantaged elementary, high school and college students who desire to finish their studies and who have supportive families with the end in view of seeing these children growing into well-rounded and responsible children of tomorrow”. The Foundation’s program/project focus on providing Educational Assistance. Geographical scope of programs: National Capital Region.
