The Little Children of the Philippines Foundation Incorporated (LCPFI) was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on December 1989. LCPFI is an affiliate organization of Little Children of the World (LCW) which is a non-profit, US-based sponsoring agency of LCPFI. The main office of LCPFI is located at Claytown Subdivision, Daro, Dumaguete City which also serves as the center of their activities.
The Foundation has 9 members of Board of Trustees, 23 regular staff , 23 part-time staff and 2 volunteers. Seventeen (17) are key member staff who compose the Council of Stewards (COS) consisting of the LCPFI Administrator, and the Stewards of the various Programs & Services. The LCPFI serves 14 communities and each community has an organization of Parents, Youth & Pre-teens. The heads of the organizations form a Community Management Council (CMC). Both the CMC and the COS are under the direct supervision of the LCPFI Administrator.
It was certified for five (5) years on June 28, 2004 that ended on June 27, 2009. Its certification was renewed for 5 years on April 8, 2010 which ended on March 3, 2015.
LCPFI’s mission is to “develop projects for the children at risk from low income families in communities within or surrounding Dumaguete City. The Foundation’s programs focus on five (5) basic needs, namely: Health Care, Shelter, Education, Peace & Faith, and Livelihood, It endeavors to empower disadvantaged children and their parents so they may “escape poverty and become self-supporting within a context of caring communities and Christian values”.
Its sources of income include donations, grants, and fund raising activities.
