Foundation for the Development of Agusanons, Inc. (FDAI), was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 29, 2004. It was an offshoot of the Agusan del Sur-Malaria Control/Prevention Project, funded by Australian Agency for International Development (AusAid). Because of its success, the Australian Government extended its assistance in the form of Community Trust Fund (CTF). CTF is intended primarily to build a sustainable funding source to supplement or augment the capability of the concerned local government units in dealing with the costs of critical malaria control drugs and supplies at the provincial and municipal levels. Because of the nature of CTF, FDAI initially aimed to deal with malaria outbreak containment only. However, its program has included control and prevention of malaria. From a high of 5,000 malaria cases before the program, today, for five (5) years now, Agusan del Sur has ZERO case of malaria and they have defended the bid to be declared as Malaria free province at the Department of Health Central Office last October 29-31, 2018. To serve more the Agusanons, the organization now implements other projects that are deemed promotive of total health development. Its main office is located at PHRC Building, DOPMH Compound, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. The Foundation has 5 regular staff, 6 project-based staff, 5 part-time staff, 11 volunteer and 11 members of the Board of Trustees (2 vacant positions).
