The Filipino War Veterans Foundation, (FILVETS), Inc. was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on May 5, 1989. It is an operating organization for the Filipino veterans and their dependents. Its main office is located at 22 BCDA Pamayanang Diego Silang, Brgy. Ususan, C-5 Road, Taguig City. The foundation has twelve (12) regular staff, twenty (20) project-based staff, and sixteen (16) members of the Board of Trustees.
Its purposes (V-M-G), among others, are “to establish and make available services and assistance to Veterans such as medical, socio-economic and related services; perpetuate, promote, preserve and maintain the ideals, principles and deed the Veterans fought for.” The Foundation’s programs/projects now focus on the following areas:
• Medical Health Care Services
• Medical Outreach Missions
• Medical Outreach Clinics
• Skills/Vocational Training
Its certification history with PCNC are as follows: three (3) years – February 26, 2004 to February 25, 2007; three (3) years November 28, 2007 to November 27, 2010 and; three (3) years – November 28, 2011 to November 03, 2014.
