Everest Academy Manila was registered by the SEC as an academic corporation which opened in August of 2007. It was brought to the Philippines with the help of the first Filipino members of Regnum Christi. It is the first Regnum Christi School in Asia and the first Catholic international school in the Philippines. It is also one of over 200 Regnum Christi schools in 16 countries around the world.
On August 26, 2014, the Board of Trustees and members of the school formally approved the resolution to convert the school into a non-stock, not for profit corporation to better serve its mission and vision. On August 25, 2015, the SEC approved the amendments of the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of the school to reflect such change. Its campus is located at #3846 38th Drive North, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The academy has 86 regular staff, 12 part time staff, 8 regular volunteers, 1 consultant and 9 members of the Board of Trustees.
Its purposes (V-M-G), among others, are “To educate students who excel academically and maximize their intellectual capacities to become life-long learners able to discern and think critically; to cultivate well-rounded, creative, and passionate leaders who are able to effectively communicate and collaborate with others; to form students to be strong in character and virtue, guided in their actions and choices by ethical principles and respect for the human person; to develop mature Christians who understand, value, live and share their faith; and to forge socially-concerned individuals responsive to the spiritual and material needs of others”.
Everest Academy implements the Integral Formation model of education – a comprehensive system that seeks to educate the whole child and accompany him in his personal development. Through curricular and co-curricular programs, it develops the four dimensions of each student: intellectual, human, spiritual, apostolic. This model is successfully developing authentic Catholic leaders in RC schools worldwide.
Regnum Christi and Legionaries of Christ Regnum Christi (Latin for “Kingdom of Christ”) is a movement within the Catholic Church that helps people live their faith deeply and gets them involved in works of service to bring others closer to God. Regnum Christi shares the spirituality and working principles of the Legionaries of Christ, a religious congregation of priests and men preparing for the priesthood. The Regnum Christi family includes consecrated members, lay people, diocesan priests, and permanent deacons. It numbers about 30,000 people worldwide.
