The De La Salle University Science Foundation, Inc. (DLSUSFI) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on August 7, 1968 by the De La Salle brothers, the alumni and friends of De La Salle College to financially support the school in its Development Programs. As an initial project, the foundation immediately embarked on a campaign to solicit support for a student aid program. This elicited an impressive response from a number of well-established firms, mostly by way of permanent scholarships. It is a grant-making Foundation. Its main office is located at 2/F Room 202, John Hall Bldg. DLSU Campus, Taft Ave., Manila.
Its purposes, among others, are: “to be a prime source of scholarships, professorial chairs, and research grants for De La Salle University and for other members of De La Salle Philippines; to assist them in realizing their respective goals of achieving prominence and; recognition as world class institutions in research, scholarship and teaching”. The Foundation’s programs/projects focused on the following areas: 1) Scholarship grants; 2) Professorial/Fellowship grants; and 3) Research grants. Geographical scope of programs: Nationwide where DLSU schools operate.
