“Established in 1981, CFSI is a humanitarian organization with long experience in responding to humanitarian emergencies as well as in carrying out social development projects.” It is a Philippine-based international organization which has served ten countries in Asia. Currently, CFSI operates programs in the Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar. It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 19, 1982 as a non-profit, non-stock humanitarian organization. Having initially registered with a corporate life of only 30 years, but was extended in 1991 to 2017. CFSI re-registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and has been given a new 50 years approved by SEC on Feb. 5, 2018.
CFSI has 14 members of the Board of Trustees. It is has 17 regular and more than 254 project-based staff with a complement of 19 regular volunteers. Its main office is located at 8F Gam Building, 212 EDSA Extension, Brgy 79, Pasay City.
It consistently earned 5-year certifications from PCNC three times that respectively ended on Dec. 22, 2007 and February 4, 2013 and to end on Feb. 11, 2019.
CFSI carries out its purpose through direct services, capacity building, research and advocacy. Its main programs are currently in humanitarian assistance, child, family welfare and health promotion, evaluation and research, community reconstruction and livelihood support.
