The Cleft Foundation, Inc. was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on September 26, 2011 by a group of individuals from different backgrounds and fields of expertise who were interested in helping indigent Filipinos who were born with deforming and debilitating facial defects. It is an operating organization supported by the owners of World Citi Medical Center. It is located at 15/F World Citi Medical Center, Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City. The foundation has 1 regular staff, 1 part time staff, 10 volunteers (doctors, nurses, hospital staff) and 7 members of the Board of Trustees.
Its purposes (V-M-G), among others, are “to help indigent individuals who were born with facial birth defects enhance their quality of life. It aims to provide hope to individuals and their families who have suffered with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial birth defects”. The Foundation’s programs/projects now focus on the following areas: to maintain a center-based cleft facility for the disadvantaged children.
It was certified for one (1) year on August 25, 2016 which ended in September 9, 2017. On its renewal, it was granted again for another one (1) year on September 13, 2018 – September 12, 2019.
