Over the years, Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU), Inc. remains true to its mission “to pursue the work of Christ for the wholeness of the society.” Guided by such a mission and aiming to achieve greater reach and impact, FSUU established the Father Saturnino Urios University Foundation, Inc. (FSUUFI) in 2012. The prime movers of FSUUFI were Rev. Fr. John Christian U. Young, the University President, and the board members, Atty. Joseph S. Ty, Victor Emmanuel A. Ozzarraga, Dr. Ester Lucille K. Parinas, and Rev. Fr. Guy Arnold L. Pineda.
Conceived as a social development arm of the University, FSUUFI, together with the Community Extension Service Office, was set to develop, implement and sustain programs in various development areas, including education, environmental conservation, protection, and sustainability, health and social entrepreneurship, and disaster response.
FSUUFI, since 2012, has implemented programs and projects in the Caraga region and elsewhere through nurturing partnerships and a vast network of government, business, institutions, civil society organizations, and private individuals.
