The Assumption Iloilo Educational Foundation, Inc. (AIEF) was founded on October 18, 1976 by Sr. Luz Emmanuel Soriano, R.A., then principal and Mother Superior of Assumption Iloilo. It serves as a support group for the operations of four Assumption schools in Panay Island, namely: Assumption Iloilo, Assumption Socio-Educational Center (ASEC) Barrio Obrero, Assumption School Passi City, and Sta. Rita Academy – Sibalom, Antique.
In 1980, the foundation’s first fundraising project was able to raise P500,000 for its operations. It was in 2013, that AIEF started its campaign for sponsors targeting alumni and friends of the Assumption and informing them of AIEF and the ways they could sponsor. AIEF became the recipient of the funds raised by the Assumption Alumni Association during its annual alumni homecoming and small alumni groups who celebrated its milestones.
In 2018 the Foundation strategically planned to have a fundraiser to include the larger community. AIEF partnered with some of the Assumption Alumni who are entrepreneurs and came up with a fundraising activity called Tahum: A Pop-Up Festival – Love Local, Support a Scholar.
