The AMY Foundation, Inc. (AFI) was registered with SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on October 15, 2003 by a group interested in providing educational opportunities to deserving youth. It is a grant-giving organization with its main office located at Philippine Business Bank Building, 350 Rizal Ave. corner 8th Ave., Grace Park, Caloocan City.
Its main purpose is “to implement and maintain socio-economic programs for the upliftment, development and advancement of street children and the less privileged or less fortunate members of the community”. Its activities are now focused in providing scholarship and livelihood assistance to disadvantaged youth and families.
The Foundation also serves as the corporate foundation of the AMY group of companies that includes Zesto, Philippine Business Bank and RC Cola, the main and regular sources of donations of the Foundation. Total donations received amounted to P4.86 million in the last two (2) years. It has a Board approved project budget of P2.75 million for 2014.
The Foundation initially received a one-year PCNC certification that ended in February 15, 2007. Subsequently, it received two successive three-year certifications that ended in October 24, 2010 and November 5, 2013.
