The Academe Foundation, Inc. was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on June 10, 1999 by a group of incorporators who wanted to alleviate the lives of less fortunate members of society through values formation, education and training for empowerment. It is a corporate foundation of Flying V. Its main office is located at #47 D. Tuazon St., Brgy. Lourdes, Sta. Mesa Heights, Quezon City. The foundation has thirteen (13) regular staff, one (1) project-based staff, and five (5) members of the Board of Trustees.
It was certified for 3 years on April 06, 2006 and which ended on April 05, 2009. It was again certified for 3 years on February 24, 2012 that ended on January 31, 2015.
Its purposes (V-M-G), among others are improving the quality of life of target beneficiaries, specifically by addressing the three basic needs of education/values formation, decent shelter and livelihood. In the process, the organization will generate resources, and provide organizational support to effectively implement the various projects. It will also operate the necessary facilities and identify alternative means and technology in the field of education and training to achieve its goals.
The Foundation’s programs/projects now focus on the following areas: 1) Scholarship Program; 2) Academe Foundation Learning Centers; and 3) Non-formal Education Program.
