The Philippine Foundation for Cultural and Educational Development, Inc. (PFCED) is a non-stock, non-profit corporation duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 25, 1965. PFCED committed itself to the promotion of academic excellence, professional proficiency, as well as social responsibility among people from all walks of life. It is an operating organization. Its main office is located at Room 202, Alexander House, 132 Amorsolo St. Legaspi Village, Makati City.
Its purposes, among others, are “to be a seedbed of social change in the community and society through programs that are deeply grounded on Christian and human values; to contribute effectively in providing the country with morally upright citizens who will work towards professional excellence, and a growing concern for the social welfare and progress of the underprivileged; and to maintain and operate the existing centers for the cultural, educational and spiritual formation of students, professional men and women”.
The Foundation was organized to promote specific undertakings in the fields of cultural, informal education, and personal and human development. At present, the Foundation owns and operates various training and formation centers for professional men and women (such as Banahaw, Sangandaan, Bel-Air, and Calayan, Centers) as well as for high school and college students (Tahilan and Tanglaw Study Centers). Moreover, the PFCED had put up conference centers (such as Hilltop, Laguna Hills, Latag and Makiling) where it organizes conferences relative to personal and family transformations by means of seminars and spiritual retreats. Since the time it was organized up to the present, it has focused on “human values formation” among professionals and students. The voluntary participants in most of their programs are considered beneficiaries most of whom later become donors to the Foundation.
