The Motortrade Life and Livelihood Assistance Foundation, Inc. (MLALAF) was registered with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit organization on April 25, 2001 by a group of incorporators who are interested in the improvement of the quality of life and the social and spiritual values of the urban poor. It is a family foundation. Its main office is located at TPI Bldg., EDSA corner Harvard St., Brgy Pinagkaisahan, Makati City.
Its purposes, among others, are “to see communities that are passionate lifelong learners for the Glory of God; to be a catalyst of positive transformation, establishing community learning centers that equip lifelong learners with academic excellence and biblical values; to improve the quality of life of Filipinos and to provide educational access and opportunities to the marginalized sector of the society”. The Foundation’s programs now focus on the following areas: 1) Emotional Development; 2) Discipleship; 3) Upliftment of Life; 4) Competitive Sports & Arts Development; 5) Alternative Learning System (ALS); 6) Technical Skills Training Program; and 7) Experiential Learning. Geographical scope of areas: Metro Manila, Rizal and Bulacan.
