The Montfort Technical Institute (MTI), Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit educational institution administered by the Congregation of the Montfort Brothers of St. Garbiel, named after its Patron Saint Louis Marie de Montfort. It was internationally renowned for its service in the field of education. They have highly reputed Catholic Schools in many parts of the world. The Brothers are present in over 30 countries spread across the globe and all continents. The school was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on November 17, 1999. It is a catholic educational institution committed to the task of facilitating the integral formation of the youth through its vocational training center for underprivileged boys and girls. The school is located in Poblacion, New Washington, Aklan. They have 50 regular staff (teaching and non-teaching), 3 project-based staff, 4 regular volunteers and 5 members of the Board of Trustees.
Its purposes, among others, are “to help the youth to discover their full potential, to create their destiny in the global community, to live life of true Christians to be able to contribute to the development of the whole humanity; to provide quality basic education, religious instructions and opportunities, nurtures the Montfortian spirit of community, and fosters appreciation and love for science, culture and arts; and to organize educational endeavors such as job oriented vocational courses targeting the poorest out of school youth.” The school offers Grade School to Senior High School and Technical/Vocational Courses (Automotive Servicing NC I & II, Beauty Care Services NC II, Driving NC II & III, among others).
