The Center for Research and Communication Foundation Inc. was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on August 5, 1996 with Registration Number A1996-04352. It’s office is located at UA&P APEC Communication Building, Pearl Drive, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Its purposes are “to undertake continuing research on policy issues and concerns that are invested with public interest and common good; disseminate research findings through conduct of seminars, conferences, and public forum; and bring public awareness of the results of research findings through publication and circulation of books, journals, periodicals and reviews”. The Foundation has 3 seconded staff; and 11 project-based staff as part of the Research Team. The Foundation has 11 members of the Board of Trustees.
It was certified for 3 years on March 26, 2003 which ended on March 25, 2006. On April 20, 2007, the CRC was given a 5-year certification which ended on April 19, 2012. The Foundation was re-certified on September 11, 2012, granting them a 5-year certification which had lapsed on July 25, 2017.
The Foundation focuses on scientific researches, policy, training, advocacy and publications. Currently, it has 11 major projects on various topics and clientele: family, youth, culture, OFWs, cooperatives, labor relations, local governance, household service workers, food products, energy, climate change, structural reforms, financing, retail, automotive, mining, education, health, and water. Its scope of operation is nationwide.
