The BLD Bacolod Foundation, Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit organization on December 17, 1999 by a group of incorporators who were interested in developing people through Religious activities. It is a Religious organization that conducts seminars, such as: Catholic Charismatic Renewal Community; Renewal and relationship of faith, hope and love with God through Marriage, Family, Solo Parents, Singles and Youth Encounters and Life in the Spirit Seminars, etc. The fledging community was engaged exclusively in the apostolate work of bringing married couples to marriage encounter weekends, and supervising their class reunions. Its main office is located at Door 2 Benjamin Hall, 4th Lacson St., Bacolod City. The foundation has a regular staff of 3, more than a hundred volunteers and 13 members of the Board of Trustees.

It was first certified for 1 year on October 1, 2001 and which ended on September 30, 2002. First Renewal was for 5 years on April 11, 2003 and which ended on April 10, 2008. Second Renewal was for 5 years on October 20, 2009 and which ended on October 19, 2014.

Its purposes, among others, is to be a community of disciples inspired by the Holy Spirit to be living witnesses for transformation in Christ to bring about a world of justice, human development and true peace; to evangelize families and build communities of faith through Encounters, Life in the Spirit seminars and discipleship formation; and to work on poverty alleviation through scholarships, housing for the poor, and advocacies for life, environment, and good governance. The Foundation’s programs focused on the following areas: Family, Marriage, Youth, Singles and Solo Parents Encounters; Life and Spirit Seminar, Trainings and Workshop and scholarship grants.
