Company Description:

The Assisi Development Foundation, Inc. (ADFI) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on July 3, 1975 with the basic motivation of performing development work in ways that affirm the fundamental message of Christian love and peace as expressed in the spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi. To date, ADFI in collaboration with other NGOs and Associations, helped established a platform for building pathways towards eradicating poverty and inequality by addressing the need to alleviate poverty through the Zero Extreme Poverty program, which will run 15 years (until the year 2030) in conjunction with the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Assisi continues its commitment to the pursuit of “peace through development with justice” in the framework of human security through collaborative partnerships with CSOs, church organizations, business and government sectors in pursuing inclusive growth and development of the poor. It is a family (of Ambassador Howard Dee) and operating organization located at Unit 503-506, 5th Floor, Prestige Tower Building, F. Ortigas Jr. Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The foundation has 8 regular staff, 20 project-based staff, 8 regular volunteers, 12 consultants and 9 members of the Board of Trustees.

It was first certified for 5 years on November 20, 2002 which ended on November 19, 2007.

First Renewal – 5 years, December 14, 2007 - December 13, 2012

Second Renewal – 5 years, December 26, 2012 - December 7, 2017.

 Its purposes, among others, are “A multi-cultural Filipino society reclaiming its basic rights to peace and sustainable development in the spirit of faith and love, equity and justice; to empower and transform the marginalized in society towards attaining their full human development, through direct and participative interventions, in partnership with institutions and communities, as co-stewards of human and environment resources; and to build sustainable and resilient communities and undertaking collaborative partnership and convergence building through different programs”.  The foundation’s programs focused on the following: EARTHLINKS (Education, Agriculture, Resource Management, Transformative Governance, Health, Livelihood & Leadership, Institutional Grants, Networking & Coalition Building, Knowledge Management, and Spirituality).
